Chief Minister Jairam Thakur inaugurated the helicopter live ride service for Rohtang Pass by flagging off the famous tourist spot Vashishth near Manali on Thursday 26 October 2018. The tourism department, which started with the cooperation of Aryan Aviation, will be between Manali-Rohtang.

Visitors will now be able to see Solang, Hamta and other delightful tourist destinations along Rohtang Pass.

With the commencement of this service, the tourism business of Kullu-Manali will also be feathered. The Chief Minister said that tourism city has a special identity on the world map with the view of Manali tourism.

With the availability of heli taxi facility in Manali, tourists coming from India and abroad will be benefited and tourism will be encouraged in the state.

He said that people have liked the helicopter taxi service running between Chandigarh and Shimla. But now tourist destinations in Manali will be able to lift.

The Chief Minister said that helicopter taxi service will also be used in emergency situations. CM said that in the tribal areas, other mobile companies including BSNL have been asked to install a tower.

On this occasion, Forests, Transport, Youth Services, and Sports Minister Govind Singh Thakur, MP Ram Swarup Sharma, MLA Kishori Lal Sagar, Surendra Shourie, Jawahar Thakur, HPMC Vice President Ram Singh, Deputy Commissioner Yunus, Superintendent of Police Shalini Agnihotri were also present on this occasion.

In the helicopter service introduced by Chief Minister Jayaram Thakur, the Chief of Naggar Gram Panchayat Sushma Sharma took the first ticket. Apart from this, Gautam Thakur, Capt Suresh and Jai Thakur were also given tickets by wearing a hat.
