Kullu Manali Hotels to Display Warnings

MANALI: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has told Hotels, Restaurants, and bars in Mandi, Kullu, and Manali to put signboards displaying warning messages at their properties to spread awareness against drugs.

Kullu and Mandi districts in Himachal Pradesh are mostly affected by drugs, especially Charas.

These days increase in the synthetic drugs are big problem for Narcotic Agencies. NCB had selected Mandi district, which is also the gateway to Kullu-Manali, as its office in Himachal Pradesh.

Now it has directed hotels, restaurants and bars to not just warn peoples but also spread awareness to stop sale, purchase, and consumption of drugs Strictly.

The NCB zonal director at Chandigarh has written to the hotel and restaurant associations in Mandi, Kullu and Manali that steel signboards should be affixed by all properties.

“The Centre and director-general of NCB have desired that all stakeholders should come together to spread awareness among people.

For this, it has been proposed to affix steel signboards in all the hotels, restaurants and bars in Mandi, Kullu and Manali,” the letter read. NCB will spread awareness in coordination with stakeholders.
