Hotel Bhrigu named after one of the Sapth-Rishi in Hindu scriptures, as well as a Holy Lake named Bhrigu, situated at 14 km. altitude of 3200 meters from a small village Vashisht.

Vashisth situated at 3 km from Manali town has been a Holy Place for Hot Sulphur Spring Bath since decades.

Domestic as well as International Tourist come here through out the year to take bath as the water contains natural sulphur which is known to heal different kinds of diseases.

Hotel Bhrigu was build in the year 1988 by Gupt Ram Thakur who was a farmer by birth, running a Poultry Farm and Saw Mill. He had a vision for developing the place for Tourism in Vashist keeping in the view the hot sulphur spring bath for the people, coming to take hot sulphur bath through out the year.

So the farmer sold off the Saw Mill and the Poultry farm. He took Loan from bank and built the hotel in 1988. The vision of the farmer is today fulfilled.

Today Vashisht has developed within these 20 years. We have atleast 10 hotels and 50 Guest houses in here. The Tourist graph of domestic, as well as International has been increasing each year.

So Vashisht holds a special place in the Lonely Planet International Guide Book for the Tourist attraction.
